THE WINDS OF WEATHER

"Life always becomes to us the particular thing we need when we believe that It becomes to us that particular thing."

Ernest Holmes,                          --The Science of Mind Textbook

What do we know about weather? It always changes. Our lives are affected by it in so many ways. Some types you may be prepared for, other types present themselves when they are least expected. Tornados, earthquakes, hurricanes, sunami's, floods, and fires happen; there is often devastation that takes place. Homes are destroyed, families are displaced, and there is a chaos that follows the event. Humanity has a wonderful way of stepping up. Firefighters and other emergy responders show up, family and friends support each other, total strangers  help those in need of shelter and substenance. Still there is a sadness that lingers, especially if loved ones and homes were lost in the disaster.

It does little good to blame anyone for the natural causes that occured. All that can be done is to be thankful for those who are still alive, provide assistance for those who weathered the disater, and see if there is anything we can do in the future for a simalar natural disaster. The 1906 San Francisco eathquake led to the Invention of the Rictar scale to measure the strength of Earth quakes, and eventually building requirements were established for large structures.Warning systems for tornados were developed, measurement for other weather disasters were developed, and more emergency workers were trained.

In short, the weather brings about change and hopefully it teaches us things to plan for the future, and to help those who need assitance.  Much like those of us who see something that needs to change in our own lives, and the steps we take to improve the situation. let the wind change lives for the better.

"You are cause because you can think. The only creative process there has ever been, is now, or evermore shall be is thinking. You can let new ideas happen in your consciousness as easily as you can do any of the routine things in your daily life."

Raymond Charles Barker,              --The Power of Decision

Have you or anyone you know experienced a natural disaster? What help was offered? Have you participated in providing help after a disaster?  Know that when you do provide assistance, it is deeply appreciated. Do what you can to help others, even if it is just through a prayer.

Love and Light,

Rev Sandy
