RALPH AND MICHEL
"Every action generates a force of energy that returns to us in like kind...what we sow is what we reap, and when we choose to bring that happiness and success to others, the fruit of our karma is happiness and success." -- Deepak Chopra, The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success.
Two students I had in my drama class, Ralph and Michelle,
were so hard working and talented. They built sets, acted in plays,
participated in speech tournaments, and fell in love with each other. They both went on to study Theatre Arts at
California State University Fullerton, got married, became teachers, and raised
some wonderful children. I have come to find out that their two children have gone on to participate in theatre as well!
Theatre teaches so many things: how to get along in a group, how to understand other people, how to use math in a practical setting, how to imagine, how to speak with poise in front of a crowd of people, and it's fun!
Teaching theatre brings so many rewards, but probably the best thing is seeing your students become productive, loving adults who know the meaning of paying it forward.
"When you absolutely believe life unfolds exactly as it should, then you are trusting where life leads you." --Sandra Lindsey Smith, Life's Garden of Weekly Wisdom
