WIND AND LEAVES AND CHANGE

Be miserable. Or motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, it's always your choice.
Wayne Dyer

Many seasons bring change, and November is no exception. Trees bring very vibrant colors; the wind blows with fierce force; and eventually, by the end of November the fierce wind has blown the vibrant colors off the trees. A wonderful reminder that new leaves will never grow until the old leaves let go.

Just as seasons change, so do we as individuals change. It might be through a change in a job, a new home, a divorce, the death of a loved one; and all of these changes bring a new opportunity to change along with them. All of these changes bring about a new pathway to continue on. For me, after a divorce at 47, my new pathway was finding a new spiritual home, or as my sister would inquire, did you find It, or did It find you?

When an unexpected event occurs in you life, you must allow yourself to feel the sadness that occurs. When you are ready a new idea occurs, and you will find a new path to follow. Remember to be open to what that idea might be.

Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.  Barack Obama

Have there been times in your life when you felt a terrible change in  circumstance, only to find out later, that change had to have happened in order to create the life you have today? Loosing a job, only to find a more rewarding one;  a divorce, only to find a new and more compatible person?. When one door closes, there is another one that opens.

Love and Light,

Rev Sandy Smith
