REFLECTIONS-CAUSE AND EFFECT

"There is no such thing as your mind, my mind and God's Mind. There is only Mind, in which we all "live and move and have our being."
Ernest Holmes,   --The Science of Mind Textbook

January is a time of reflection for me. I think of how life has unfolded for me: teaching theatre from the middle of my thirties into my early fifties; a divorce in my forties; finding my first Science of  mind Church in Bonita, California; surviving colon cancer; all of these experiences have brought me to who I am today. Every change in my life experiences were causes that led to the right and perfect action. Finding a spiritual teaching like Science of Mind was the perfect catalyst for life-enhancing change. Studying the teaching made me realize that everything happens for a reason, and that new pathways open to new and better ideas.

If you have had some less-than-perfect things happen in your life, when you pause and reflect, very often you realize, days, months, years later, that unless something like this happened, it would never have allowed for new life-affirming  circumstance to have happened. Losing an old job may have guided you to a new and better one; getting a divorce may have allowed you to open to a new and rewarding one in the future.

Each new challenge that occurs is cause to a new event. So, after any life-changing experience, know that something new will open itself to your experience, and you will know that life unfolds as it should.

"Cause is always that which produces an effect. Metaphysically we are always becoming cause to our won effect."

Dennis Merritt Jones,   --How to Speak Science of Mind.

How Has cause and effect taken a part in your life? Has an accident or illness given you an opportunity to change something in your life? Has moving to a new job or a new location opened up new opportunities?  Perhaps now is the time to reflect on and examine  how some of those challenges have been the catalyst for positive change.

Love and light
