PEACE WITHIN, SHARE THAT WITH THE WORLD


I was once asked why I don't participate in anti-war demonstrations. I said that I will never do that, but as soon as you have a pro-peace rally, I'll be there.

Where does Peace begin? I believe that it starts with the individual soul. It is a quality of God, and just as Love, Wisdom, Joy and Acceptance are also qualities of God, the Peace begins within. It is an inside job. Can I be the peace that God is? Can I radiate Peace into the world that surrounds me? Certainly I can, and it is a wonderful first step, but how may I take loving action to be the Peace I wish to see? 

The age-old question. Does might make right? Is one man's thinking all man's thinking? Is one man every man? I believe there is a Higher Power behind all creation, and the many beliefs of various faith traditions tap This Source. It is referred to by many different names, Spirit, God, Jehovah, Lord, Father/Mother Earth, and numerous others, but It is all One Power. I think of the many different faiths as wells that tap the same Source. 

What is the purpose of having faith? I believe It is there to remind us to be kind and compassionate to others; to do unto others as we would like to be done unto; to value all life and the planet we reside upon; and to see where we can be of service to others.

Every person must decide how we want to treat all of humanity. Do we want to win by forcing our individual ideas on others? Or, do we want to share Love and Peace to our fellow beings? We must not be driven by fear. So let your voice be heard. Let your positive actions speak louder than words. It may be as simple as taking the first step in letting your peaceful and loving voice be heard. One candle brings light to a dark room, and one candle light can  light hundreds of candles and beyond. Raymond Charles Barker once said, "A dark room is where negatives are developed." So, light up your friends and family to share their ideas with the United States and the World. Here's to positive, peaceful forward motion.
