CHANGE YOUR THINKING, CHANGE YOUR LIFE
Shift your perspective. We are always at choice as to how we respond to anything, and when we choose to respond with calm, the world is a kinder place.
Life's Garden of Weekly Wisdom, Sandra Lindsey Smith
Has there ever been a time in your life when it seemed like it was one problem after another? For me, it was like this every day for the past week. Being stung by a hornet; ordering something through amazon for myself, and realizing I had sent it to my sister by accident; and showing up for a blood draw on the wrong day. Now I am taking care of all the mishaps, and making efforts to clear my consciousness and remain focused in the moment.
So if I am always at choice, I need to be mindful enough to make a focused choice. My thinking needs a once over. So, I am going to follow my every day, every way plan. Journal, write a treatment for myself, read a Science of Mind book. The Spiritual Mind plan works when I work it.
How is your life unfolding? Do you need a restart on anything? Try a Spiritual Mind tool: meditation; walking outside, soaking in the fresh air and noticing what you are seeing around you; taking a class at your place of worship; coloring a Mandel, and listening to some uplifting music. Getting up and meeting with like-minded friends, or going out to lunch or a movie, are some other things that can help.
Feed your spirit with love and new thoughts. Change your thinking and change your life.
"Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but rising every time we fall."
Confucius
What do you when you make a series of unfocused moments? Perhaps the best thing I can think of to do, is to share it with a friend. Ask a friend or neighbor over for coffee; the sharing may help you recognize that you are not alone. Everyone makes an occasional error, be kinder to yourself. Know that you can rise up to a better "next time".
Love, laughter, and light,
Rev Sandy Smith
